Full-frame digiscoping with the new Sony RX-1? (1 Viewer)

Unfortunately fixed lens cameras are not usually that suitable, especially full frame. 35 mm is not long enough to eliminate vignetting. The Fuji X100 with 35 mm lens will only work well with a fixed 30x eyepiece and you only get about 1000 mm. Not really digiscoping territory.
If you could crop 50% it could work. You would need a 50 mm lens at least.
Neil.

Thanks for your input Neil. From my experiences, my old Coolpix 990 which was 35mm at the widest zoom setting did not vignette with the Nikon 27x DS eyepiece. I agree with the lack of focal length. Just looks quite promising on paper at least. If you do get one soon and give it a try, please let us know the results.
