Which type of camera (1 Viewer)

As the title, I have an Olivon T80 scope with adapter for a compact camera. The problem is that my compact is well and truly broken and I am now looking for a new camera. I have between £180-£260 to spend and would like some advice on whether I should buy a compact, bridge or slr type camera. I intend to use the camera maily for digiscoping. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tony
