Swarovski DCA (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am sure this has been covered in another thread but blowed if I can locate it!

I have a DCA adoptor and wishto finally try it on a Canon 50mm 1.8 lens with my Swarovski 25-50 zoom on a Swarovski scope.

But I cannot work out where I get the adaptor ring to fit the lens; the ones supplied with the DAC, M28,M37 and M43 do not fit, amazingly.

I would have thought one to fit a 50m lens would have been included

Appreciate your help

Regards/ MIke

There is, an M52 (comes with the DCA) which screws straight on and you appear to be missing? - http://www.swoptics.co.uk/view.asp?KEY=1638

I think older DCAs only came with 3 rings. Mine only has 3, but then I did buy it used on BF about 3 years ago.

I think I read somewhere that more recent ones were supplied with 4 rings.

FWIW I have tried a 50mm F1.8 (& Canon 40D) with my Swaro 20x60zoom (hand held), and didn't care much for the results, but that shouldn't put Mike off trying for himself. I personally find it much easier to get decent results with a point and shoot.

If Mike wants to try the DCA-50mm route, then perhaps worth trying stepup/down rings (see link below) or contact Swaro customer service. It wouldn't surprise me if they didn't supply the missing ring for free. Step rings might cause vignetting though.
