Had a lovely walk down the canal path in Watford this morning & what was even better was seeing a Kingfisher, it even kept pace with us for around 10 minutes, flying form tree to tree before eventually disappearing. Wife was very happy as it was her first Kingfisher.
 
Well it seems to be a good time to see Kingfishers as we saw another one this morning while walking around the lake in St Albans.

I like, how at certain angles, in sunlight, they shimmer a beautiful green colour.
 
Great spot for you Prc, and your wife having the same experience

Kingfishers are fast movers and a glimpse is more the usual sighting so well done to you - a great bird to add to your list
