Golden Pheasant (1 Viewer)

It IS a Golden Pheasant. It is an introduced species to ornament private gardens, estates and bird collections and has established feral breeding populations in several places. So yes, rare in that there aren't that many of them, but most birders don't get very excited about them! Nonetheless they are things of beauty and always a pleasure to see.

Welcome to BirdForum!

I would be pretty pleased to see a Golden Pheasant, especially so close to home. Good photos too.
