Interesting...They said they thought it was recent. I wonder if the birds will change their migration patterns because of this. Seems like something would happen. It would be crazy to hear about songbirds learning to "jam" the sonar of the bats the way some moths do, but I wouldn't be suprised if they do. That could be why more bats or other nocturnal predators "don't take advantage of theis abundant food source". Moths and bats have had an escalating "sonar war" since who knows when. Makes sense that birds might too.
