Leica camera adapter (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'd like to use a Canon 50E with my Leica 77 Televid, and I've seen references to a Leica camera adapter on various websites (generally U.S.). Has any one any experience of this adapter or know of a UK supplier? Are there any other suitable adapter?

Thanks

I have used this set-up.

The adaptor should be freely available in this country from most scope retailers.

It'll need a T2 mount and the camera will work fine in, say Aperture Priority or Manual mode.

The adaptor is quite narrow so the camera feels a bit top-heavy and camera-shake can be a problem.

It doesn't fit on the eyepiece bayonet mount (probably to protect it from an over-heavy camera) - it attaches via the srew thread around the eyepiece throat.

This has a very fine thread and fitting the adaptor in cold weather can be a complete pain in the a**e!

The adaptor swivels freely to align it correctly giving the impression that you can leave it on the camerabody and then just screw it in place when needed - because of the above-mentioned fine screw-thread, this is impractical!

Ge it all right and the optical quality is good
