Oddly acting robins (1 Viewer)

Here in the New York suburbs, robins are quite common. But the pair nesting not far from my home are acting uncommonly, possibly because of the uncommonly cool Spring.

They jump and peck at the front door and leave their droppings on the landing alongside the door.

When we cleaned up the landing near the front door, they starting jumping and pecking at the side door.

Suggestions?
