Middle-spotted Woodpecker is correct, but Nightjar is incorrect. Would anyone like to put their bird ID skills to the test by identifying the bird in the second picture?
 
Wow Neil, you're IDing skills are fantastic. Yes it is Ural Owl. How on earth can I make this harder? How about know clues or indications to what family a bird is in whatsoever? Let's see the results of that...

Both incorrect. It is far more difficult than you think, no more hints apart from that unless you are struggling. Can anyone find out what the two species are? ;)
