Audubon Lightwave (1 Viewer)

Has anyone ever looked through the Audubon Lightwave? I am looking to get a cheaper scope in the near future and for $150 it is definitely in a good price range. Also, are there any other decent scopes for less than $300? Thanks.

Ever wonder why most scope related whining and fussing on this forum is related to expensive euroscopes?

Probably because they are the best of the best scopes available. They are also extremely expensive and my question is about a decent lower end scope.

I have found Celestron to be a reliable "low end" scope manufacturer. If their better spotting scopes were waterproof, I might have bought one of them instead of my Pentax 65-ED. Their Maksutov mirror scope is waterproof but at 1000mm has a narrow FOV. I think the Audubon Lightwave would work OK if you don't need waterproofness. Nikon Earth and Sky might be good too. Maybe the high enders expect perfection.
