Ever mount a nestbox to a fence? (1 Viewer)

If so, how'd it go? I have a an 8' board-on-board fence in my backyard, thinking about roosting box now, and nestbox in spring/summer.

Fence-mounted nest-boxes are popular for bluebirds, though unfortunately you will have to distance it from trees, put on a predator guard, and keep it away from grazing livestock.

Thanks! I think we might be talking about difference kinds of fence. My backyard is surrounded by an 8' cedar privacy fence; I was thinking of mounting a nestbox either to its side, or maybe on its top ledge.
