Introducing Zino's Petrel (1 Viewer)

Greetings from Madeira Island!

Around here, were quite proud of our personal rarity and many efforts have been made for the conservation of this specie. Due to its rarity, even the social communication is doing their job and all the habitants of the Island are starting to recognize the importance of conservation. We've been educating and evolving people on the subject with a special day and initiative called "Save a Bird" which is done once in a while.

This is one of the most threatened seabirds of the world and one of Europe's rarest. They have their breeding grounds in Madeira Island central mountain massif peaks and the privilege to visit this place and hear the Petrel calls is mesmerizing.

We're using his place to promote and let also the world know a little bit more about this fascinating bird.

Paul Alexander Zino is an inspiration to everybody for the work he did to save the Zino's Petrel. The species is rightly named in his honour.

Rene, would you mind uploading this image to the Gallery here? It would almost definitely be used in Opus as well, the only image we have there is a comparison shot of some specimen.
