Sri Lanka - Indian pond heron or striated heron (1 Viewer)

Hi can anyone help with this ID, taken in a Paddy field today, close to Colombo. Initially I thought it was an Indian pond heron, which seem to be very common here however when it took flight it did not have the usual white under parts. Could this be a juvenile striated heron?
