Common seal?, Anglesey, 06/08/2018

Is the smaller one of the two a common seal?

It has a tag on the left back flipper

Yep, Common Seal; with a Grey Seal behind in the last pic


Note the nostrils: \/ in Common Seal, | | in Grey Seal.

I must admit the Common Seral looked so small that I checked quite a lot of photos of Ringed Seal and thought perhaps I should fuel up the twitchmobile: but it looks Common-like to me. That's a big ol' Grey Seal with it!

The little guy didn't seem phased by the grey at all..
