Great Blue Heron or Grey Heron? (300fps SlowMo Vid) (1 Viewer)

Hello there,

Please help me identify this Heron; is it the Great Blue or Grey Heron?

The video was taken in a London park and is of the Heron eating a fish. The fish was a little too big and it took a while for it to swallow and finished with a fantastic shaking display to finally gulp it down.

In this video you see the Heron Ruffling Feathers at the end of the eating session, or see here for the full length fish eating scene.

Thanks!

Grey. Great blue would be exceptionally rare in London (North American species). It's also too light in colour all over especially the neck.

Great videos!

Agree with the ID. Too light for Great Blue Heron. Also notice the yellow legs. Great Blue Heron would have dark legs.
