Day-guide recommendations, Orkney Mainland Sep 2019 (1 Viewer)

LowellMills

Is this your Sanderling?
My partner and I are stopping off in Kirkwall during a North Atlantic cruise in September so will have one short day and no car in which to try and pick up a rarity or two, probably just on the Orkney mainland.

Please could anyone recommend any local bird guides who could guide a day out on Mainland and provide transport? Thanks very much.

I recognise there might not be many guides specialising in birds on Orkney mainland but just want to know what options are besides hopping in a taxi!

Hi Lowell

You could try contacting Daffi, he's a member here but doesn't post regularly now.

He might be able to point you to the help you need.

Have a lovely trip lad.
