Hi everybody,
Crested eagles active nest just 140km from Cuiaba (airport code CGB).
Chick was born a month ago (early june) and adults seen bringing food.
Tower was buiding 40m away at nearly eye level and now has a 6 rooms with private bathroom facilities to accommodate birdwatchers and wildlife photographers.
Amazonian influence in the area, including several sigthings of harpy eagle and old nest used by them in previous years. Tanagers mix flocks includes Paradise tanagers and allies, Goeld's toucanet, Gray-cheeked nunlet and many others.
Primates are also good to observe black-faced spider monkey and a weird Pithecia Saki monkey which should not be there but it is. Pithecia irrorata group, a large range extension or even a new species to science.
Easily add two nights for any pantanal tour, a great option to see Amazonian species without going to Cristalino Lodge.
