Birding UAE

I will be in Dubai for a couple of days in early August. I would like to go birding for some of the time I will be there. The best dates for me would be August 2, 3, or 4.

Is there anyone that could be a guide or at least suggest birding sites i could get to by taxi or Uber?

I'm staying at the Hilton Garden Inn near the Emirates Mall

Thanks in advance.

PS. I am going to be on my way to Uganda for a 3 week birding and gorilla observation tour.

Hiya Larry and a warm welcome from me too.

It sounds like you have a wonderful trip planned. It might be an idea for you to post in the Information Wanted forum, where more of our members are likely to see it.

Meanwhile I hope you enjoy your time here with us.

Certainly will be very warm in Dubai!

Try the uaebirding.com website - link to their guiding page here: https://www.uaebirding.com/guiding

Ras Al Khor is a must, you could also try Safa Park, Creek Park or a little further out of town, Mushrif Park. I normally stay not far from the Mall of the Emirates in Al Barsha and would recommend the Al Barsha Pond Park as I think it's formally known for somewhere local to drop into.
