My garden has been very busy these last few days. Nothing particularly unusual, but lots of the usual! Starlings by the dozen, Goldies, Chaffies and Greenies, Blue, Great and Coal tits, Pied Wagtails, Woodies, CDs, Robin, Blackies, Jackdaws and a couple of Crows.
Not in my garden, but OH was out on an estate near the coast the other afternoon, shortly before dark, and saw dozens and dozens of Yellowhammers in one hedgerow. he said that they looked like Christmas decorations as they were in gorse and the low sun was glinting on them. We used to see up to 20 at a time on one of our walks, but we feel lucky to see any at all most of the time.
