Hi all

Had another outstanding day at Brandon Marsh today. Saw either a chiffchaff or willow warbler - anyone know a good way to tell them apart?

Leg colour (usually dark on CC, light on WW), primary projection (shorter on CC) and of course call/song.

It would be pretty early for WW so I'd be very surprised if they weren't Chiffchaffs but keep an eye out anyway!

Call is the best way. Willow Warblers have yet to arrive in the Midlands so it has to be Chiffchaff.
