this stork was seen this morning near Madrid (Spain).

White /Black ?

No chance for albinism or melanism?

I have seen photos in internet of melanic white storks but they are completely black, not partially as this one.

I did not find pictures of albinism in black storks.

Or any odd chromatism?

Probably dirt is the most probable reason.

Could be staining from a number of habitats but White Storks now Winter in large numbers in Iberia, particularly Portugal ca15k, whereas 30 years ago it was a handful - this is mainly due to feeding on scraps and junk food on refuse tips but under EU landfill legislation this will all change.....
