I saw these two butterflies in Corfu, but am not sure what they are. Any help gratefully received, thanks!

1. Plain Tiger, probably a very good and reportable sighting?
2. Silver-washed Fritillary

Thank you, Andy. Much appreciated.

You think I should report the Plain Tiger? There were loads of them in the hotel gardens.

The Collins guide notes it as a very occasional vagrant to Corfu so I would report it.

Perhaps they're irruptive?

The status of many butterflies is changing though with many having expanded their ranges considerably since the Collins guide was published.

Oh, how exciting! It's not often I get to see something unusual. Thanks, Andy, I'll do some investigating as to whom I should report it. Thanks again for your help.
