Hi Xuky

I received this response from Didier Vangeluwe ([email protected])

Many thanks for the forward of this very interesting data.

It concerns a Bewick's Swan we have ringed past summer in Yamal Peninsula (Arctic Russia) in the framework of our project "The Odyssey of the Bewick's Swan". You find more details here: http://odnature.naturalsciences.be/bebirds/en/blog_swans.

We have already several birds gps-tagged in Yamal and subsequently wintering in Poyang Lake, but it is the first time that an individual is reported wintering in Qinghai..

Could you please tell me the exact place in order to edit the reporting form? Thanks in advance.

Best wishes, Didier

Let us know the details when you find out!

I'm sure xuky won't mind, but here are the details of the bird which I've forwarded to Didier. It was actually in Gansu. I assume it refers to the same sighting?

My firends Wang xiaojiong and Hu haihong recorded this Tundra Swan at Huangshuiba reservoir in dunhuang city, Gansu province on December 23, 2017.and disappear two days later.
Geogr. Coordinates: 39.880 N, 94.126 E.

Thank you very much!
The information I received was the same as that provided by Spike. There was no exact date of the ring. It was actually recorded in northern Gansu province, very very close to qinghai province.
