Ring-necked Pheasant? Help me. (1 Viewer)

Hey, I saw this bird that goes like "Kra-kok!" In the distance. I used my Binoculars, and saw it was big and fat and brown in color. It was on a farm field, near the river. What was it? I need help.
 
Sounds to me like you may have seen an American Bittern. If you have a birding field guide to might take a look and see if that is the bird which you saw.
 
I didn't see much. But the tail did seem a little bit long. Anyway, I remembered my teacher tell me he had been seeing Ring-necked pheasants around...I dunno. Next time we go I'll try to have a good look.
