As we bid goodbye to Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand in December, we stopped off at the barrage at the base of the Kosi River in Ramnagar to see a large flock of Ruddy Shelducks. An eagle flew overhead and I got a clear look at a long and broad-winged raptor with white underneath, thin brown barring on the belly and underwings, with a distinctly dark/brown head. My conclusion was Short-toed Snake-Eagle. Cropped photos are significantly backlit, but I lightened it up slightly without degrading the image to get some details. Any objections?
