Bit of a slow start as had to wait for Neil to get up at 10am :smoke: He was on nightshift last night, got home at 6.30am and wanted a couple of hours' kip before coming out with me....very frustrating for me as I just want to get outside!!!
Luckily though my desk looks out over trees and overgrown gardens so I've been able to see a few of the commoner species :t:
Tuesday, 1st January
 Jackdaw
 Blackbird
 Chaffinch
 Woodpigeon
 Feral Pigeon
 Starling
 Collared Dove
 Black-headed Gull
 House Sparrow
 Goldfinch
 Blue Tit
Then we had to drive down to Ashington to try to find a garage open that sold bulbs as one of our headlights had gone off :smoke: Thankfully it didn't take TOO long or else I would have had to murder my husband for getting in the way of my birding! Fifteen years we've been together!!! You would he would KNOW BY NOW that January 1st is sacred!!! :-O
 Rook
 Magpie
 Kestrel
 Mute Swan
 Cormorant
 Eider
 Great Black-backed Gull
 Redshank
 Herring Gull
Cresswell Pond
 Curlew
 Mallard
 Moorhen
 Teal
 Lapwing
 Little Grebe
 Red-breasted Merganser
 Tufted Duck
 Greylag Goose
 Wigeon
 Gadwall
 Grey Heron
 Snipe
 Pink-footed Goose
 Buzzard
 Carrion Crow
 Pheasant
 Oystercatcher
 Coot
All in all a nice start - a lot more than I thought I had seen because of the very strong wind o
