I have a few clumps of the pictured plant around my patch. I don't know if they are native or invaders from bordering gardens. Any ideas?

Indeed, Teasel it is Paul. Which type, I'm not sure.

Much beloved by Goldfinches... they go mad for the seeds!
 
Thanks guys. There are still a few Goldfinch in the same area, now you mention it. I'll need to try and get a photo of one on a Teasel head.
