Hi All,
Does anybody know if Manfrotto or Velbon heads will fit on a Giottos tripod?
Ive settled on either a Giottos 9251 or Velbon 635 pro tripod but if i go with the Giottos i don't fancy any of their heads so just wondering which others will fit.
If i have to use an adapter will this affect stability?

Cheers guys

Using the thread adaptors doesn't affect the stability as when they are fitted you don't know its there, I'm sure 99% of heads will fit the Giottos (i have a Giottos Monopod which is brilliant and have used a few different sized thread heads with no problems) They sell the adaptors on Ebay for a couple of quid.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Ps If you haven't bought your tripod yet? check out the Red Snapper Tripods on Ebay etc I have one and its just like the Giottos but much cheaper and VERY well made!

The Giottos seems to be based on the Manfrotto design and takes the Manfrotto heads very well (no adapter required), they even have a Manfrotto style system of grub screws to stop heads rotating. I guess most Velbon heads would fit on fine too, I doubt you'd need a thread adapter for any of them.
