A FTP client is a programme with which you transfer files from you PC to your website (and vice versa). They usually have an interface which looks like your 'windows explorer', instead of moving files between folders on your PC, you move files between folders on your PC and website.
You can search for 'FTP client' on google, www.tucows.com or www.download.com
