Long-tailed Skuas Burra (1 Viewer)

I am visiting Shetland next week and I am keen to see the Long-tailed Skuas at Mill Pond on East Burra. Could anyone advise me of the best place to view them from. Also, are there any reliable sites for Red-throated Diver?

Many thanks.

Colin.

Little bit of info on the Shetland Wildlife sightings page here: http://www.nature-shetland.co.uk/naturelatest/latestbirds.htm.

In general, though, I reckon you'd be much better off contacting one of the local birders up on Shetland - I've found (most of) them to be a very helpful and friendly bunch.

As far as I know, there's only one Long-tailed Skua (could that be a football chant?)

Sorry, don't know about divers up there.

I was in Shetland last week with Shetland Wildlife and I saw the Long-tailed Skua - it wasn't in the location that it's been reported from, but was over the hill in the next glen and it was getting chased off by Arctic Terns.

Red-throated Divers were all over Shetland, including several pairs on small lochans alongside the road in Eshaness in the northwest Mainland.
