Just booked a cheap flight and hotel - staying in Playa Blanca going 14th May for a week. Have car booked and intend to take day trip to Fuertaventura.

We have the Canary Island guide (clarke 1996) but struggling to find any trip reports for May, does anyone have any info on best places to visit at that time of year, is it the same sites?

Is there any migration still happening or has everything gone through?

Is it Ok to take car hire on the ferry or do you need another car in Fuertaventura?

Thanks for any help

Most of the migration will already have passed through so the sites and birds mentioned in other trip reports for other months should be available to you - should be a few trip reports on here (for starters here is mine from last March http://www.birdforum.net/showthread.php?t=252795). The car ferry is surprisingly cheap across the Fuertaventura. Enjoy :t:

Thanks for advice

I thought that might be the case but saw something that suggested that May was actually best time to visit
