Pagsanjan - Philippines Herons May 2018

Two for ID.

1. Picture not good , but could that be a cinnamomeous .

2. I,m divided between a flavicollis and a butorides striata.

How about Javan pond heron and, as you note, striated heron? After seeing uncountable numbers of not-readily IDable 3 species of pond herons in Thailand a few months back, that's what the 1st struck me as and Javan's the only on there, right?

I agree with John on this: Yellow Bittern for the first one. Note the back colour and size relative to the banana leaf.
