I saw these fellas on my university campus in Riyadh, but I don't know what they are. They're slightly smaller than a robin, possibly with a green body, but definitely with a red patch on their throats right behind their mouth. They have a long slender bill and possibly eye masks. They fly like swifts/swallows with slender pointy wings. They tails are average in length. Their call is a fairly high pitched "hee" that rolls like a dove. They perched at the top of the buildings (hence why I'm not so confident in my description), and eventually congregated in a small flock in the air and flew off. I suspect they may be migrating, since Riyadh has very few locals.
Any help you can give will be appreciated.
