Grey and common (harbor) seals firth of forth (1 Viewer)

I moved to Kirkcaldy in Fife (Scotland) at the start of the year and had assumed that all the seals I was seeing were common seals but am I right in saying that the seal in the water is grey and those on the rocks common (they were right next to each other)?

That's what I thought. You managed to reply before I had time to realise I'd left out the pics of the ones I think are common (harbour)!

And those are Common. You can see the v-shaped nostrils in your picture quite well - Grey has more parallel nostrils like a number 11.
