Thanks for pointer to the Nikon E11, ClarkWGriswold.

I have been agonising over these, but no longer......:)

I'd also ordered a pair of Viking 6.5x32 MD bins this morning (still <£100 at Viking). Time to cool off, I think.

Zeiss conquest 10×25 T* £249, two pairs last time I was there at Minsmere (new).

Only problem for some is they focus anti-clockwise to infinity.

I notice that Park Cameras have a £250 cashback deal on some Nikon binoculars, meaning for example that it's possible to buy the fantastic EDG 7x42 for only a little over £1000:

That is a great price. It seems to me that a lot of UK dealers are offering big discounts on new Nikons lately, from this model down, and especially the Monarch range, must have an impact the value of used models I would think.

Jessop's 10×42 MK II waterproof roof prism nitrogen filled binoculars are now half price at £34.99.
If you picked out a good one it might be worth having. Cheap enough.

Also 20× - 60x 80 mm Jessop's spotting scope now halfprice at £69.99. Again a selected one might be quite good.

Fotosense have an extra 10% off Vanguard binoculars today ; some of the range still attract the manufacturer's £40.00 cashback offer and the retailer's extra 10% is in addition to this, all with free shipping.

Vanguard Spirit 8x42 ED http://www.fotosense.co.uk/vanguard-spirit-ed-8x42-binocular.html

Vanguard Endeavor 8x42 ED, now under £200.00 http://www.fotosense.co.uk/vanguard-endeavor-ed-8x42-binocular.html.

Add the Voucher Code TOD10 at the checkout.

Fotosense also have 'close-out' prices on the remaining stock of Burris Colorado binoculars.

Tip : to squeeze the last drop out of it login via Topcashback to scrape a final 2.1% out of the bottom of the barrel, here ... http://www.topcashback.co.uk/fotosense/

Uttings have Nikon HG L 8x42 at £700.00, and Nikon HG L 10x42 at £750.00.

Cheapest HG L 8x42 elsewhere appears to be £850.00 today.

Not only for the UK, but for all of us European Unionists: on fleabay.de a reputable German dealer offers the Nikon 12x50 SE for 599 euros, brand new and with the latest coatings. Delivery is fast. I know because I just received one :) Just search for Nikon 12x50 SE and it appears at the top of the list.
