Hi all,

I found a couple of clumps of these corals this week in W. Yorkshire. They were growing in the soil near to deciduous trees - anybody any ideas?

Hi Charlie,

Well the genus is Ramaria, but you probably need images of the spores stained in Cotton Blue to identify it, and even then this group is quite tough.....

Cheers,
Nick

Thanks Nick but I'm fresh out of Cotton Blue at the moment :eek!:

Seriously though, it's always interesting to hear the different methods needed to ID certain fungi and now at least I have a generic name for my corals.

Always a pleasure Nick :t:
