David Roach had posted a superb photo of a hawk in the Gallery, but a query was raised at to the ID.

Can anyone help out with clarification?

I would have to go with a Cooper's Hawk. The pattern on both the back and front of the picture in the gallery definitely doesn't seem to match that of a Broad-Winged

P.S. It is a great pic! (David's)

Definite Cooper's. Blackstart has a good point with the tail, it is probably a full inch shorter than normal. All the white at the end has worn off.
