Wren -- S Oaxaca, Mexico (1 Viewer)

Bípedo implume
Hello all,

This wren's been bugging me. Closest match I can find is Rufous-naped Wren but eye color and underparts color don't quite match .

Looks like Rufous-naped. It looks like a young bird (generally; don't know this species' immature plumage specifically) and the one behind it has typically pale underparts so I'd guess that this is an adult Rufous-naped Wren at the back with a juvenile in front.

Interesting, thanks.

Rufous-naped Wren's been split into 3 (at least by IOC). Think it's Sclater's Wren in SW Mexico. Don't know if that might explain some of the features.
