Zhongshan Botanical Garden and Ming Xiaoling are next to each other in the Purple Mountain in Nanjing City,where I also started birding around 2000.It's still good for birding.Anyone who has a half or one day free in the city is recommended to visit it.
Xuanwu Lake is no more good as in those early years,although u can still see wintering Mandarin Ducks.
The suburb is still good enough to see Fairy Pitta and a few Reed Parrotbill here and there.

Pity that Shrike Zhang left for university in US and missed the finding of Spooner in Rudong and will stay on in US.China is missing a good birder:(
