A350 Continuous Focus (1 Viewer)

I got the A350 for Christmas and have been playing with it a bit. It does something strange or perhaps something is wrong. If I am just holding the camera, finger not on shutter, it still tries to focus. I have live view turned off and AF single turned on. Is this how it should work?

Penny, nice and simple this! You've got eye start af on. Cover the two sensors below the viewfinder and it starts to focus. I have mine turned off - go to menu, in settings there's an eye start toggle. Carl
