Came across this on the edge of the forest in an open, heathy area, atop a small boulder, anyone got an idea what it may be, Marten?

The only largish, small mammal I know we have here is Musk Rat but they don't venture far from the water.

did you investigate it to see what it was feeding on Andy? may help.

Must admit I didn't, carnivore crap is notoriously horrible!

It will dry out a bit in the next few days so I may pluck up the courage then but it looks like small bones and hair to me?
