NIKON RAIII Any good? (1 Viewer)

Hi looking for a first scope keep seeing these, theres one on ebay with 20x eyepiece.Want a travel/lightweight one am I better saving for ED50 or similar hd/ed scope? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

The RA III seems to be the same as the older Prostaff spotter and they are now
discontinued, in favor of newer models.

I have not tried that model but I do have the ED50, and other Fieldscopes from
60 to the ED82.

The ED50 is great, as most reviews here will mention.

The RA line is lesser, and if looking in that budget range, I would be sure to check
out what is available in the Fieldscope range, the Fieldscope III, 60mm, or the
ED60 which has ED glass. They are also both lightweight, and would offer a step
up over the RA. Good luck with your optics search.

Jerry
