No Waxwings in Sussex.......yet?? (1 Viewer)

Typical Sussex sightings - they were there the following morning but buggered off by midday.....when every road in the area has bushes laden with berries! What more do the stupid birds want (I missed them in case you hadn't guessed....)

A single Waxwing, west of the blue gas meter near Littlehampton train station this morning for it's third day.

A flock of 50 Waxwings have been present in Seaford for a few days now, also in Horsham, Hailsham, Fairlight today. Still plenty of time yet for more.

I was lucky enough to see (and photograph albeit in poor light) the Waxwings at Pett. They also stayed in Fairlight for a while. I have also seen them flyover in Hastings with one solitary visitor to my garden yesterday.

They are still around somewhere!

After five unsuccessful attempts during Dec 2010, I managed to see three in Brougham Road, Worthing today. Must be a good omen for 2011.

A Happy New Year to All.
