I will be in Phuket for 8 days in May.
I would appreciate any info on birding trips etc.
Can anyone reccomend a guide etc.
What is possible to achieve without a guide.

Haven't spent any time in the Phuket resort area for many years. I much prefer Phang nga to the North. Google Phuket birding and you'll get lots of info. Laem Phakarang is worth the trip. Have to catch the tide right. When I was there the birds started flying in about half down. Definitely explore on your own in any birdy looking area. You'll find birds just about everywhere including in the resorts.
