Oh, and here's my fantasy of the day...

Leica Ultravid HDs in 7x32. 450-460' at 1000 yards, 16-17mm ER.

I'd sign up for that.

Oooohh my. That sounds so good, I thought it was worthy of it's own thread...

Here's my slight variation:

Leica Ultravid HDs in 7x36, 400+ FOV, 18mm ER, 23 oz.

At a street price of $1200 they sell just fine,
...but I find a demo pair with perfect glass for $500. :king:

That is likely a heck of a potential top notch glass. As for myself, I'd really like a 7x32-36 Razor. I sort of think that the more magnification is better than less has pretty much seeped into the subconcious of binoculars to the point where anything less will be yawned out of existence. I really have come to prefer 6-7 x for all around use.

Yeah Dave, I think that a 7x35/36 would be awesome as well...

But the thing is, Leica already has the chassis for a 7x32!
How tough could it be?

That would be the bino I could plunk down my $1700. or so, and feel good about the return.

Kowa will present 7.5x33 and 9.5x33 XD Prominar (Genesis) binoculars at the Photokina in Cologne, Germany in September this year.
No specs available yet.
