.....in the last few weeks?

Quite a few "little people" as our daughter would say.

The warblers came through in great flocks of very hungry and friendly birds.

Hi Lydia,
What a fantastic list of visitors, and what a marvellous life list, you must have.
You a recording birds there, that we can only dream about this side of the pond.
Keep letting us know about your visitors, even if it does make us drool a bit.
Regards
George

Hi Lydia,
What beautiful photos of some beautiful birds! As George says keep them coming. It's interesting to know what you get in your garden 'over there'. By the way, how's Kramer and Bub and all your other special friends??
All the Best to You Lydia, Judo.

Hmmmmmm. You know? I never have made a life list! Maybe that would be a project for the long winter months.

Kramer? Why he is "sweet AND a joy!" as he has told me. LOL!

Bub is doing very well! She got some plants in her enclosure today. She has finished moulting and looks like a proper Grackle. We have come to an understanding and she no longer bites.

Daisy, the Blue Jay, too got plants in her enclosure too today. She continues to teach Bub new things to say / vocalize. Bub is a VERY good pupil!

Yesterday I had an escort of sorts on the way to work.. Two Cooper's Hawks were flying just ahead of me and in a straight line above the road for about a mile. How great is that? Later on my road trip there was a perfect 'V' formation of 13 canada Geese, also directly ahead of me for about a half mile. I thought it was a perfect display and formation but ... in the back of my mind I has hoping that they would not bombard me along the way. They are very poopy! Thankfully they did not!

Letcha know who else comes for a visit.

Li.

Hi Lydia,

Great photos of some very interesting birds, keep them coming.

Yes, you must sit down (in your spare time of course (chuckle)) and make a life-list, it would be QUITE different to any of ours.

You might be interested to know that our 'American LBJ' season has not yet got underway. FLORENCE never seemed to get here (don't know why) and the 2 since then were too far off your East coast to pick anything up. Now there's ISAAC but he's way out too, although he might just brush the end of Newfoundland, but then he'll probably go too far North. I'll tell you what comes if it does this year. No Monarchs yet either.

Keep happy, all the best, Bill.

Hiya Bill!

As you probably already guessed the photographs were appropriated from Mike's files. I could never take such nice photos! I'll look through later tonight and see who else I can post. (BTW ... Mike is likely coming home in 9 days. ) ((Not that I am counting the days.))

Not much of a hurricane season here but I doubt anyone in the USA is complaining about it after Katrina dn Rita and all the others last year! I'll just need to be your source for the LBJs and Monarch Butterflies this year, ehh?

Then there is the comment about spare time?!?!?!? Me??? Oh dear! We need to talk, don't we? LOL!!!!!! (sort of........)

Lydia

Awwwww,

And more Awwww, Oh Lydia how lovely!

(well done Mike) lol!!

The Yellow Warbler is the cutest little thing, and as for the Common Flicker!
wow! Ive never heard of him before now, what a lovely bird.

Looking forward to seeing more Lydia.

P.S. My sister's lived in the States for over 20 years, I always used to panic when hurriaines were reported on the news, but she keeps reminding me how big the USA is, and promises to let me know if her hat ever blows off!!

Although, saying that, she was near "Dunking Dougnuts" when the roof blew off a few years ago. (so I'm entitled to worry!) lol

Bye for now

I certainly have enjoyed seeing your photos Lydia. Lovely set of photos again. Thank you for sharing them with us. I'm so glad to hear all your 'Special' bird friends are doing well.
All the Best, Judo.

I'll post some pics of American LBJs by this weekend. ~~SIGH~~ I was watching the clock and it took 10 minutes to load one picture into Photobucket this evening. Added only three pictures and called it quits. LOL!

Kindest regards everyone!

Still Me.
