Book: Birds of Wisconsin (1 Viewer)

I just got a copy of what looks to me like a very nice book, titled "Birds of Wisconsin", published by the University of Wisconsin Press, and copyrighted by the Friends of the Museum, Inc.

I was looking for a good field guide at Half Price Books when I found it. It's a large book, definitely not a field guide. It has beautiful full page full color plates every other page, with descriptions and range maps (Wisconsin) opposite each plate.

The artist's name is Owen Gromme. The book was published in 1963, and my copy was printed in 1981.

I wonder if anyone else has this book and would like to comment?

Thanks,
Bill

the book came today-very impressive
paintings reminding me of audubon
maps of times, locations, of the birds
300+ birds in book
well worth the $55 I paid Amazon
