Phew..............
In today's conserv@tion - http://www.habitat.org.uk/news1.htm

The island archipelago of St Kilda, a World Heritage site some 41 miles west of the Outer Hebrides, is a bird-watchers’ paradise. With 250,000 puffins, 60,000 gannets and the largest colony of fulmars in the British Isles, there is much to tempt wildlife enthusiasts. But, for most, the logistics of getting there prove just too difficult. Even today, the return journey takes 48 hours by boat, and facilities on its main island, Hirta, are minimal. It is its isolation, however, that has allowed Europe’s most important seabird colony to thrive.

Yes Annie, I popped up there just after I went to the shops this morning.

No, not really.

Annie, Steve has very graciously given you a nice new, spangly section for all the Conserv@tion posts. Any chance they can all go in there in future, please?

Thank you.
