Nikon E2 8x30 opinions (1 Viewer)

I really liked the pair of 8x32 Leica's I had but can't afford them. I would like to get another set of 8x30/32 and was wondering how the E2 rate in resolution, brightness and color to the mid-priced roofs from Pentax (SP) and Eagle Optics (platinum rangers)?

Have been surfing the Net for prices on similar bins, found this site, seems exceedingly good prices - but US dollars!!

$390 for 8x43 Pentax dcf sp, $455 for the Nikon SE - is there a catch?

Anyone know what rates of duty are for importing bins via post into the UK?

The Pentax bins are £292 on Amazon

Ta, yeah I saw them, but says 1-2 weeks wait and I've only ever bought books from them. The dollar price looks more appealing, and then I'd go for the SE's!

well you have to pay post, vat (17.5 %) and import duty.

I wonder what the rate of duty is though? I've bought things from the States via the Net but only stuff under £18 when theres no duty/VAT to pay.
