Just a couple of shots of the Barred Warbler @ South Gare today. Distant but a first for me. :)
Should've took DCJ ''AKA'' The MASTER along :smoke:

South Gare, yesterday.
The barred warbler was showing well, in the same place, other birds included stonechat, wheatear, linnets, kestrel, GBB, BH gulls etc.
Called at Lockwood Beck, where we saw a single distant osprey, which took a large fish, before disappearing.

Could someone tell me where the 'BOMB HOLE' is. Having been to South Gare a few times I am familiar with the place but this is a new location to me.

Not the easiest of things to describe. Basically drive past the Pilot Station and then on the left just after the next and last set of buildings there's a delve beside the road with a few rocks/boulders scattered around and bushes in the centre - that area is what is known as the bomb hole.

Think I know where you mean thankyou.

Wondering about a trip to the coast tomorrow, are there any snow buntings at South Gare at the moment? News of anything else of note around Teesside most appreciated.

Snow Buntings still present with the highest count being 65 birds, there was also a Shorelark present a few days ago at North Gare but not sure if its still around, nothing else of note according to Cleveland birds and TMBC.

Was at South Gare on 21st pm. Best birds were a pair of Stonechat in the bomb hole. No sign of Snow Bunting tho plenty of Reed Buns. SB seem to be staying north of Tees.
Ps tried for Shore Lark earlier in week but dipped.

Sorry James my mistake the Snow Buntings are being sighted on the north side of the river mainly around Seaton common, North gare area, sorry for the mis-info.

Damian
